Combining levothyroxine (T4) and liothyronine (T3), the two principal thyroid hormones, into a single oral capsule allows the T4-to-T3 ratio to be adjusted to individual needs. This compound is used for hypothyroidism replacement therapy in patients whose symptoms aren't fully managed with T4-only treatment.
