Our mission at Connect Wellness is to combine the art and science of pharmacy compounding to deliver precise, personalized medications that empower patients and healthcare providers to achieve better health outcomes.
At our compounding pharmacy, we believe healthcare should never be one-size-fits-all. Many patients require medications that are customized to their unique needs, whether it’s a different strength, dosage form, flavor, or ingredient combination. Our pharmacists combine scientific expertise with the art of compounding to prepare medications tailored specifically for each patient. By working closely with healthcare providers and patients, we provide personalized pharmaceutical care that helps people achieve better health and improved quality of life.
Meet our founder
Julie Brown, PharmD
Founder & Owner
Julie Brown is a lifelong Idahoan. She grew up in small-town Idaho, where she grew to love the great state. She completed her bachelor’s degree in biology at Idaho State University and shortly after continued on to receive her Doctor of Pharmacy from Idaho State College of Pharmacy. There she met the love of her life, Parker. Her pharmacy practice experience started by working for a community pharmacy in Pocatello, and she later moved to Boise to finish her education.
She loves caring for patients and pharmacy business practice. Spurred by a desire to change pharmacy practices, she started ClinRx, a consulting group focused on outcome-based criteria that guides evidence-based practice in the western states. Implementing a patient-centered approach has always been in front of everything she does. In this setting, Julie and her staff pharmacist consult with geriatric and primary care providers to monitor medication therapy through Chronic Care Management.
A few years later in 2020 she founded Connect Pharmaceuticals LTC pharmacy. This vision was to continue to develop better pharmacy practice for the geriatric population in the Treasure Valley. By implementing standard and communication modalities in this space, patient care in the Boise area increases with a clear vision to “Connect”: patients, providers, and pharmacists.
In 2024, she opened Connect Wellness LLC, a state-of-the-art compounding facility for local patients to be able to get complex and noncomplex compounds. This allowed for full pharmacy service for all patients. Rooted in a strong understanding of USP standards and regulation, this compounding pharmacy has developed trust with providers and patients.
She has served as part of the ECHO Idaho Geriatric panel, the Dean’s advisory committee for Idaho State University, and enjoys giving educational seminars in the communities she serves. Her vision is and always will be, patient first.
In her time away from work, Julie is a mom to four kids, enjoys riding her Peloton, and can often be found out on the lake with her family.
