Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist. In the STEP 1 trial of the branded molecule, once-weekly semaglutide plus lifestyle intervention produced sustained, clinically relevant weight loss versus placebo in adults with overweight or obesity.1
U.S. prescribing information for approved semaglutide products describes use with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, and includes a boxed warning about thyroid C-cell tumors observed in rodents.2
This preparation includes pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6) as an additive. Vitamin B6 is being studied for nausea support in other clinical settings, including randomized and pooled pregnancy data.34 That research does not establish that adding B6 makes this compounded product more effective than semaglutide alone, or that it prevents GLP-1-related stomach side effects.

“In participants with overweight or obesity, 2.4 mg of semaglutide once weekly plus lifestyle intervention was associated with sustained, clinically relevant reduction in body weight.”
